National Library Week: April 13th-19th!

What better way to spend National Library Week than by enjoying your local library and all of the books, magazines, DVDs and programs that it has to offer? KFL offers a trio of programs to celebrate this special week.

As always, stop by to put your name in the drawing for one of our famous Book Bundles! One entry per name per day, so stop by every day for the best chance to win.

Do you have fines? If you bring in a nonperishable food item for our Food for Fines drive, and pay half your fine,we will waive the other half.  Additionally, if you bring back an overdue book and donate a nonperishable food item with it, we will waive the fines on that book.

Finally, KFL will celebrate “Poem in Your Pocket Day” for the entire week. Throughout history, poems have been stowed in pockets in a variety of ways, from the commonplace books of the Renaissance to the pocket-sized publications for Army soldiers in World War II.  Stop by the library to pick up a poem, then carry it in your pocket for the rest of the week! Share it with friends, read it aloud, frame it, it’s up to you.
