Tomorrow–Last Day for Faerie Houses!

2010 gourd faerie house

Tomorrow is the last day to bring in Faerie Houses for display at the library.  Because the faeries will be here on Wed. to name their cottages, we’ll need any entries by Tues. April 30.

Houses should be constructed of all natural materials, with a base no larger than 14″ x 14,” and a height no taller than 30 inches. Remember, faeries are allergic to plastic!

If you need building materials, stop by the Children’s Room. Members of the Seacoast Garden Club will offer a selection of pine cones, bark and sea shells for children to use in construction of Faerie Homes.

2010 Faerie HouseWe are always amazed by the details children include. Stop by to see how creative they are!  Faerie Houses will be on display until May 18.

Join us at our annual Faerie Festival on Sat., May 4 from 9:30-11:00.  We’ll have flower crowns and crafts for children.  Many thanks to the Seacoast Garden Club and the Friends of the Library for making it such an enchanting day!
