Earl Douglass was told to “find something big” for Andrew Carnegie’s Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh, PA.  Using his knowledge of geology and topographical maps, Douglass spent the majority of his life along the Green River of Utah.  There, he uncovered a full Apatosaurus skeleton!  Removing it would take four years!  Read about his determination and persistence, and his lasting contribution to science.
