This week at the KFL.

The Children’s Summer Reading Program ends this week, and while there’ll be a lull in programming as everyone begins to get ready for a new school year, our regular programs will start to reappear soon.

This week, we’ve got:

  • Monday at 6pm, our Crossover book discussion group will meet to talk about John Green’s Paper Towns.  Next month we’ll be discussing Pretty Birds, by Scott Simon  — swing by the library to place your copy on hold!
  • On Tuesday, August 17th at 11:30am, we’ll hold the summer’s last Teddy Bear’s Picnic on the lawn (weather permitting).
  • Wednesday evening at 6pm, our Youth Services department will hold their Talent Show — pre-registration is required for performers.
  • On Friday, our Teen Gaming Club will meet as usual at 3pm.
  • Lastly, a reminder:  Our summer hours are in effect, so we’ll be closing at 1pm on Saturday, rather than 5pm.

If you’d like to receive email reminders about our programming, hop on over to our website to sign up — and please, do feel free to call the library at 985.2173 with any questions!
