13th Edition Road Race FAQs.

If you weren’t already aware, today’s the big day!

Where and when do I register?
The registration desk will be open from 4-5:45 on the library lawn.

Can I register before that?
Sadly, no.  The pre-registration period ended on July 6th.  But there’s always next year!

What is the fee?
The fee for same-day registration is $25 for adults, and $10 for children 14-under.  Cash or check, please.

I am pre-registered.   Where do I get my stuff?
When you check in during the registration period, you will receive your bib.  If you were one of the first 200 registrants, you will also receive your goodie bag and t-shirt.

Can I get my stuff early?
Sorry, no. 

What route will the race take? 

We also have copies of the map available at the library, and there will be copies at the registration tables.

Will the race be re-routed due to the construction on Main Street?
No.  The Race Director met with police to ensure the safety of participants.

What if it rains?
We hold the race rain or shine!  There is no rain date.  If there is lightning, the rain may be delayed, but that is a decision that will be made at race time.

When and where does the race start?

The race will start promptly at 6pm on Dane Street.  (See map.)

Who does the timing?
Bay State Race Services.

Where does the race finish?

On Main Street in front of the Brick Store Museum.  (See map.)

What’s the deal with the concert?
The Mousam River Rats will begin to play at 5:30-6pm on the library steps.  They’ll continue to play during the race, and will finish up at 7pm.

What about the awards?
The Award Ceremony begins at 7pm, after the concert.  The results will be posted at the library and on active.com

Explain those raffle buckets.
As in years past, many fabulous local businesses and individuals have donated items and services to our Race Day Raffle.  You need not be present to win, and the tickets are currently for sale ($1 for 1; $5 for 6) at the library, and yes, you can buy them at the race as well.

Will there be free food?
Yes, if you’re a participant in the race.  Just show your bib number to the nice people at the tables.  For everyone else, dinner is $5.  In addition to the desserts provided with the meal, the Landing Store will be selling ice cream!

Who is providing the food?
The Seafood Center, Federal Jacks, Cummings Market, the Landing Store and volunteer bakers.  The water and ice were donated by Liberty Mutual, Rain Maker Springs and ME Shellfish.
